Fundraising training courses will be discounted by 25% for arts organisations after a report highlighted an urgent need for fundraising skills in the sector.
The report by Arts Quarter highlighted that two-thirds of the 587 arts organisations surveyed believe they do not have the fundraising skills to meet their income targets.
Speaking after the recent Arts Council funding announcement, Chrissie Wright, DSC’s Head of Training and Development said, “It’s a worrying situation that many arts organisations face a shortfall in funding and a shortfall in skills to raise their own funds. There are still millions of pounds to be accessed or raised, and this training shows you how.
We wanted to make the training as accessible as possible, that’s why we’re reducing the price. The training can be even cheaper (£70/delegate), and tailored, if we come to you to train a group.”
In addition, DSC is going further to help arts organisations by offering a similar discount against all DSC Fundraising Books, a new subscription to www.trustfunding.org.uk and DSC (non fundraising) skills training. For details and how to access these offers visit www.dsc.org.uk/arts
