Charity Centre offers a variety of catering options, from a range of sandwich menus with delicious fillings to more formal finger-buffet lunches.

Food is freshly prepared on the day and we cater for special dietary requirements. All refreshments and lunches are served in our basement Dining Room, which can also be used for informal breaks between 9.00 and 16.00.

You can order at the time of booking or up to two weeks prior to your event.

There is no obligation to eat in the Charity Centre – there are sandwich bars and restaurants nearby. We ask that you do not bring food to eat here.

Lunch Menus

Delegates eating in the dining room

You can choose from 10 standard menu options listed below. These cannot be varied, but if you are a group of 20 or more, you are welcome to order from more than one menu.

Where sandwiches feature on the menu, we are also happy to vary the proportion of vegetarian and non-vegetarian fillings, and the proportion of brown and white bread. There are also additional options, such as, extra salad and cakes.

If any of your delegates have special dietary requirements, we will do our very best to cater for them.







Charity Centre menu options

Catering prices are per head and are subject to VAT at the current rate.

MENU 1: Cold Fork Buffet 1  £14.00
  • Ginger Chicken: chicken salad with beansprouts and water chestnuts in a soy and sesame dressing
    Caramelised Onion and fresh rosemary tart
  • Mini seeded rolls/Ciabatta/Baguettes and butter
  • French Bean and walnut salad
  • Roast Pepper salad
  • Fresh seasonal fruit
  • A selection of sweet items
  • Orange juice, mineral water

MENU 2: Cold Fork Buffet 2  £14.00
  • A selection of sandwiches
  • A selection of freshly baked filled baguettes
  • Little zakouskis with a chestnut mushroom and blue cheese filling
  • Tiger Prawns wrapped in filo, sweet chilli dip
  • Bel Paese and grape mini-kebab
  • Blinis with cream cheese and gravadlax
  • Pork & Herb cocktail sausages with a mustard dip
  • A selection of fresh fruit
  • A selection of mini Portuguese Custard tartlets, cake fingers (cherry, fruit, apple and cinnamon, lemon & raisin)
  • Orange juice, mineral water

MENU 3: Conference buffet £10.50
  • A selection of sandwiches 
  • Goujons of chicken with mustard mayonnaise
  • Homemade salmon and smoked salmon cocktail fishcakes served with tartare sauce
  • Spinach and feta fillos
  • A selection of fresh fruit
  • Mini Portuguese Custard tartlets
  • Orange juice, mineral water

MENU 4: Light lunch buffet 1 £9.25
  • A selection of freshly baked filled croissants
  • Tiger Prawns wrapped in filo, sweet chilli dip
  • Goujons of chicken with a mustard mayonnaise
  • Homemade cream quiches with fillings such as fresh asparagus, leek, spinach, chestnut mushroom
  • A selection of fresh fruit
  • Orange juice, mineral water

MENU 5: Light lunch buffet 2 £8.00
  • A selection of sandwiches
  • Freshly baked spinach and feta fillo parcels
  • Freshly baked vegetarian pizza squares
  • Pork and herb cocktail sausages with a mustard dip
  • A selection of fresh fruit
  • Orange juice, mineral water

MENU 6: Salad buffet £8.00
  • A selection of two salads, such as pasta salad, rice salad, new potato salad, mixed green leaf salad, carrot salad, cherry tomato salad, waldorf salad
  • Mini seeded rolls, baguettes, butter
  • A selection of cake fingers: cherry, fruit, lemon & raisin, apple & cinnamon, flapjacks or
  • A selection of fresh seasonal fruit
  • Orange juice, mineral water

MENU 7: Light vegetarian finger buffet £7.00
  • A selection of vegetarian sandwiches and/or filled Baguettes/Ciabatta
  • Vegetarian samosas/indian savouries
  • Homemade freshly baked cream quiches or Vegetarian pizza squares
  • Fresh fruit platter
  • Orange juice, mineral water

MENU 8: Sandwich selection £6.50
  • A selection of sandwiches
  • A selection of freshly baked filled baguettes or Ciabatta
  • Orange juice, mineral water

MENU 9: Charity Centre working lunch 1 £6.00
  • A selection of sandwiches
  • A selection of fresh seasonal fruit
  • Orange juice, mineral water

MENU 10: Charity Centre working lunch 2 £6.00
  • A selection of freshly baked filled croissants
  • A selection of fresh seasonal fruit
  • Orange juice, mineral water

Additional options

We serve a variety of beverages in our Dining Room, including a range of Fair Trade filter coffee and teas, herbal tea, mineral water and a selection of biscuits. These are available at the following rates:

£3.50 per head for the day
£2.50 for two breaks
£1.50 for one break

Refreshments can be provided in meeting rooms at an additional charge of £50 per room up to a maximum of 30 delegates.

For one extra salad: add £1.50 per person; for two, add £2.50
For additional cakes: add £1.50 per person
For cakes instead of fresh fruit: add £1 per person

If any of your delegates have special dietary requirements we will do our best to cater for them.
 
Please note that the Dining Room is not available for use as an extension of the meeting space.

We will hold a room for you for 21 days on the basis of a telephone enquiry, pending receipt of our Booking Form and a deposit cheque for 50% (payable to the Charity Centre).

A pro forma invoice for the deposit will be issued on request. Deposits are not refundable. You can order the catering at the time of booking, or any time up to two weeks before the event.
