What can it be used for?
Broadly, any leadership or management related training. All DSC Programme Outlines can be downloaded in pdf format or online.
You may also be able to access this fund for In House Training, and/or Coaching and Mentoring Support for Senior Staff.
How do I access the funds?
The process varies slightly in different regions but a starting point is:
- identify the course/s you would like to take
- get in touch with your local advisor (details below) and check out the process in your region.
Do I get the full £1000?
As each organisation only has ‘one shot at the pot’ at the moment, you should consider maximising on your application. Each employer can benefit from up to £1,000 of grant support. The first £500 does not require a contribution from the employer. The subsequent £500 must be ‘match funded’ by the employer. Do discuss this with your Specialist Advisor.
The Specialist Advisors have, in our experience, been helpful and informed, They are probably the best port of call for any queries you have in relation to the funding.
Please call us at DSC on 0207 391 4808 if you want to clarify anything about the course itself.
How it works
A Specialist Adviser will carry out a free impartial Individual Needs Analysis and help you develop a Personal Action Plan which clearly identifies your requirements. Together with your Adviser you will agree on the best solutions to meet the development needs you have identified.
When you have undertaken your training you can apply to have the costs reimbursed up to a total of £1000 (including VAT).
