You’re probably already a pretty good trainer, but you want to develop your training skills and learn more about how people learn.
Duration: 2 days

Aims

Building on some basic training knowledge, you will enhance your skills to suit your audience.

For

Anyone who wishes to develop their training ability and who has completed an introductory training to train course and/or has come experience of training delivery.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will leave with:

- A thorough understanding of the impact of training and learning styles on learners
- A toolbox to handle group dynamics in any kind of situations
- A pool of shared experiences and tools gained while networking with their peers
- Feedback and evaluations on your own training styles
- An understanding of the importance of transferring learning

Content

The training session will cover:

- Putting training within the organisational perspective
- Quick review of training and learning cycles
- Review of learning styles and their various theorists
- Planning a course: TNA, audience, room, learning climate…
- Preparing and delivering a course
- Questions: asking, handling, answering
- Group dynamics: boosting participation whilst retaining control over the overpowering
- Timing, evaluating and giving feedback
- Design and writing of visuals: handouts, flipchart, etc.
- Evaluation stages
- Practice sessions
