Aims

To provide participants with the fundamentals that will ensure their presentations make a successful impact.

For

Those who have little or no experience of giving presentations in front of an audience, however big or small, whether in a formal or informal setting.

Learning Outcomes

- Identify essential tips to structure a presentation
- Explore and practise techniques used to help you deliver a talk
- Discuss how to handle the nerves and keep your audience’s attention
- Identify areas for improvement and action to take

Content

- Impromptu and prepared speech
- Content of your speech: objectives, preparation, structure and delivery
- Other elements to take into account when giving a speech/presentation: timing, nerves, body language, rapport with audience, visuals, practice and listening to your audience
- Practise session and feedback for future development
