Aims
To expand your repertoire of facilitation approaches and techniques as well as provide an opportunity to try out new methods. To consider how these methods could apply in the future to your own training or facilitation practice.
For
Facilitators and trainers who already have some basic understanding of facilitation and wish to develop their practice to include some new ways of working and techniques.
Learning Outcomes
- A basic working knowledge of three specific facilitation methods – OPERA, Open Space and Appreciative Inquiry
- Increased understanding of how to make your training/facilitation more creative and participative in the future

- Sharing the best of our experiences
- Open Space technology – the art of facilitating a selforganising ‘non meeting’ meeting
- Appreciative inquiry – a strength based approach to change. Seeking the best of our experiences and building on those to create strong visions for the future
- OPERA – A system for organising feedback from participative consultations
