Almost ten years ago, the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), Bates Wells Braithwaite and aQmen founded CaSE Insurance. It was a response to the high insurance prices that charities and non-profit organisations faced and the lack of specialist policies that adequately catered for their specific needs.
As well as two leading partners in the charity world, CaSE Insurance have also secured the backing of major insurance providers such as Aviva, Brit, QBE and more. Alongside this CaSE has developed beneficial and supportive partnerships with industry organisations such as the Association of Charitable Organisations (ACO) and the Fairtrade Foundation.
Working closely with their insurers, founding organisations and clients, CaSE Insurance have refined their insurance policy offering. The CaSE Charity Insurance policy is a combined product that provides charitable organisations with all the cover that they may need, with the flexibility to include add-ons where non-standard activities take place.
More recently CaSE Insurance has also developed a specialist offering for the faith sector. CaSE Faith Insurance is another meticulously planned combined product that includes all the cover that faith-based organisations and religious places of worship may need. As with CaSE Charity Insurance, add-ons that are suited to this sector are available where required, such as large religious worship events or missionary travel.
There are over 165000 charities in the UK, but over half of them have an income of less than £10,000. In addition to Charity and Faith, CaSE Insurance identified a need for affordable and suitable insurance and risk management at the lower-end of the charity market. Their answer, CaSE Select, is a tailored, easy-to-buy and affordable insurance policy for smaller charities.
In addition to these three main policies, CaSE have ensured that they are always able to cater for the needs of all non-profit organisations. Executive Risks, designed for trustees; Professional Indemnity, created for those giving advice or counselling; Group Travel and Personal Accident are just some of the insurances that CaSE have designed and built specifically for the charity sector.
