Rachael joined DSC in August 2017 as a Researcher, keeping the subscription websites updated with current information, contributing to the research for publications such as The Guide to Educational Grants, and monitoring and analysing trends within grant-making. Before coming to DSC, Rachael worked with the Citizens Advice Bureau as a social policy co-ordinator and gateway assessor.
Rachael graduated with a BA (Hons) in Sociology from Liverpool John Moores University, where she undertook case work assessing the impact of government cuts on Liverpool’s homeless population. She was also part of a project that researched student’s perceptions of sexual assault on campus. Rachael’s interests include changes to national education policy, particularly the restructuring of the curriculum to include fewer creative subjects.
