Do you deserve recognition for your work? Do you know someone else who does? If yes, then you could be nominated for a Social Change Award!

Four years ago the Directory of Social Change started the Social Change Awards for all those working to achieve a positive change in society - individuals, charities, community groups, funders, companies, public bodies. We decided to throw out the long applications for a quick nomination process that anyone could complete. And instead of a black tie affair to announce the winners, we have an inclusive, fun informal event with inspiring speakers and highlights from the entrants.

The nomination process is simple, visit Social Change Awards Online, select the award you would like to enter, complete the online application and submit it.

You can nominate yourself/your own organisation or recommend others for nomination.

You don't have to be a charity to apply... whether you're applying as an individual, an informal group, a company, a public body, a funding body OR a charity, if you're passionate about social change then there's a category for you.

Once nominations close, our judging panel will select three shortlist nominees for each category that will be presented to the public to vote for in October 2010.

Because so many high quality nominations have been made in previous years, we have widened our award categories for 2010.

There are now four categories and five awards:

•    Everyday Impact - New Enterprises Award
•    Everyday Impact - Long-term Enterprises Award
•    Influencer Award
•    Lifetime Achievement Award
•    plus, new for 2010, the Great Giving Funders’ Award!

DSC’s Great Giving campaign is about improving the relationships between funders and those they give money to.  We all know that often these relationships can be challenging – this award is about trying to highlight the good examples that are out there.  Learn more about Great Giving campaign.

So – do you know a funder that goes the extra mile?  One which really tries to understand your needs and your beneficiaries’ needs, and which uses that understanding to inform and improve their grant-making?  Do they provide clear guidance and support?  Do they work with you to address concerns and build a mutually beneficial relationship to achieve shared objectives?  Why not nominate them for a Great Giving award today!
