Duration: 2 days

Aims

Fundraisers will develop the relevant knowledge, skills, techniques and confidence to enable them to develop and present, negotiate and manage corporate partnerships to the benefit of charitable causes.

For

Those with some experience of fundraising, who have responsibility for, and some experience of, developing charity partnerships with companies.

Note: Participants will have the opportunity to hear and pitch directly to a corporate speaker.

Learning Outcomes

- Understand companies and their motivations and expectations when working with charities
- Develop and negotiate appropriate packages to meet the needs of both the charity and company
- Identify what an organisation’s strengths and weaknesses are, what the organisation needs and what can be offered to a company
- Explore key factors in being successful at generating income from companies
- Develop and deliver a successful pitch
- Understand the skills and importance of good account management
- Identify and develop good negotiation and communication skills
