Funding for small to medium sized organisations to develop their management and strategic capabilities was previously non-existent and strong leadership and planning is more essential now than ever so this new funding opportunity brought to you by the Institute of Fundraising and the Directory of Social Change couldn't be more timely.
Train to Gain is a government initiative which aims to upskill existing workforces and enable individuals to progress within their chosen sector through enhancing their abilities.
This Train to Gain initiative gives eligible organisations access to up to £1000 of funding towards Managing Fundraising training. Completion of the five day Managing Fundraising course also counts as an element of the Certificate in Fundraising Management, the premier professional qualification for fundraisers.
Who is eligible?
Organisations who employ 5 to 249 people, in voluntary, community, charitable, private or or public sector.
At present organisations can only apply for one lot of £1000 grant funding with training beneficiaries being
- Directors and Chief Executives or
- Fundraising Managers with responsibility for strategy, fundraising and organisational development

Please note: All bookings on all training dates are subject to the standard terms and conditions and cancellation policy. If your ability to pay for a place on a 'Managing Fundraising' course depends on the 'Train to Gain' funding, we strongly recommend that you do not make a booking until you receive written confirmation of your funding.
