Understanding and Managing Risk in Charities - Online course
A strategic approach to using risk management to improve effectiveness and efficiency of charities and improving long term resilience & sustainability.
Duration: Half-day course with breaks (10.00-13.30)
About
Risk is anything that can delay, diminish or deny a charity from fulfilling its purpose. Risk is something that can impact on a charity from the outside but is more likely to be internal. There is no hiding from risk and so the best strategy is to confront it and control it.
Managing risk is dynamic and strategic and is the responsibility of everyone working in the charity, whether paid or voluntary. By creating a culture of awareness and vigilance, the impact of the most dangerous risks can be avoided or reduced. The result is a more efficient, effective and resilient organisation
