Free AI training for small charities

Small charities are being asked to do more with less, and AI is one of the tools that could help. But most guidance assumes budgets, staff and confidence that smaller organisations simply don’t have.

This free course is different. It’s built for people who work in small charities and are new to AI, or who have tried a tool once or twice and want to understand it properly. We start with the very basics and build up gradually, so you don’t need any prior experience.

Over 6 hours of live online training via Zoom, you’ll learn what AI actually is (and isn’t), how to use it safely and responsibly, and how to apply it to real charity tasks without spending money you don’t have. Places are funded, so the training is completely free for you.

What to expect

• Offered as one full day or two half-day sessions
• Suitable for complete beginners
• Practical, budget-aware and honest about both the opportunities and the risks of AI

Who it’s for

• Open to UK charities only
• People working or volunteering in small charities
• Anyone new to AI who wants a confident, practical start
• Maximum two people per organisation, so we can reach as many charities as possible

Places are limited, and we’ll select participants to make sure the free training reaches a good mix of small charities. Registering your interest therefore doesn’t guarantee a place.
