Long-term training projects

Museums of Cornwall Group: Diversify your Funding

We helped develop their fundraising skills and improve sustainability of their smaller organisations.  This approach was so well received that we were invited back to extend the training and approach to other staff members. DSC designed a tailored course programme to meet the unique learning and development criteria based on outcomes and objectives for the training.

Henrietta Boex, previously Project Manager at Telegraph Museums who had helped to raise £2.8million for the museum’s redevelopment project found the training programme ‘extremely inspirational’ and just the sort of thing to ‘increase confidence when selling her project to potential funders’.

Since then, we’ve partnered with Museums of Cornwall to deliver in topics such as fundraising, management and more as part of their planned training schedule.

Age UK: Personal Effectiveness Programme

We have worked closely with Age UK since 2010 to help them build the skills and confidence of their staff. We delivered a Personal Effectiveness Programme over a period of three years where we delivered over 100 one or two day courses to over 1000 staff where over 95% of delegates reported they could directly apply the learning to their current roles.

We continue to work with Age UK helping them and their staff to help others through the training, facilitation and coaching we do with them.

The Fostering Network

DSC employs quality trainers who are skilled with in-depth knowledge of their subject field. They are innovative and adaptable to our requests. In addition, the trainers give us feedback from the courses which have, in the past, helped us to review our processes.

DSC is flexible in their approach, highly responsive and ever ready to go the extra mile. We consider DSC to be a trusted resource and all of the above lends itself to a happy and long lasting relationship.
