The Governance App - Guided Governance Reviews

Using DSC’s Governance App is easy. It’s intentionally designed so that you can carry our a governance review and make best use of the findings, independent of outside support. This is ideal – and where we would like to see all Trustees and Boards in the sector.

In reality, the review results can sometimes lead to challenging conversations or a sense of – so what do we do now? How can we improve things?

An as we designed the Governance App, and have worked with many boards supporting their development and effectiveness, who better to help?!

We can offer three levels of support, depending on your needs:

Support package 1: Guided Governance Review, £399

Session 1: We’ll meet (remotely) with your chair, CEO or whoever is leading the review before the review questionnaires are completed. We’ll make sure you’re all set up properly, and give tips and hints for preparing the ground with your board, letting them know what to expect from the questionnaires and the overall process, and set you off on the right foot.

Session 2: Following completion of questionnaires and receipt of report, we’ll meet with the review lead again to discuss the results, explore the meaning and reasons for key findings – especially low and ‘inconsistent’ scores, and give guidance and tips for conducting a productive and purposeful conversation with your Board that leads to a solid and measurable action plan for developing your governance.

Support package 2: Post review facilitation, £999

If you’re confident and happy to set up and carry out your own review using the Governance App, this option is perfect for making sure you get the most out of the discussions that follow.

Session 1: We’ll have an initial meeting with Chair/CEO to talk through your results and establish aims and content for the facilitation

Session 2: Then you’ll have one of our fantastic governance experts for a half-day (in-person* or online) facilitation with the full board (and Executive Team where appropriate). We’ll present your results back to your whole board, highlight key performance areas, lead the discussions around what’s going well and where your specific challenges are, and help you to set a clear plan for development.

Support package 3: Before, during and after support, £1,299

Include both the above options as well as management of communications with trustees throughout.

*In person facilitations may incur travel costs depending on location
