George Knight
DSC Training Consultant
Read MoreGeorge joined DSC at the beginning of 2017 and, having previously led the sales and customer service teams, moved into training at the start of 2020.
He trains in Management & Leadership, Fundraising, Personal Development, Project Management and Wellbeing. He has extensive experience in helping organisations make positive changes to how they approach social change.
He is also qualified as a Mental Health First Aider, with additional time spent studying Psychosis.
The favourite part of his role is knowing that the work DSC performs has a major impact on both the charities and individuals that we are able to serve.

Steph Wright
Head of Scottish AI Alliance
Read MoreSteph has a diverse background ranging from astrophysics to genomics in academia and film & TV to dance in the arts and the third sector. A leader in, and advocate for, ethical, inclusive and responsible technology, she loves to develop and build collaborations across organisations and sectors to ensure that technology benefits the many and not the few. Steph led on Data Lab’s efforts in support of the Scottish Government in developing Scotland’s AI Strategy and she’s now leading on the delivery of the strategy’s vision for Scotland to be a leader in the development and use of trustworthy, ethical and inclusive AI. She is also Co-Founder of Diverse AI and was recognised as one of the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics in 2023 and one of the Top 10 Women in Tech in Scotland in 2023. She was also awarded the 2024 DataIQ Award for Data & AI For Good Champion and was recently named in the Digital Leaders AI 100 UK 2025 list.

Professor Dominic Murphy
Head of Research, Combat Stress
Read MoreProfessor Murphy is an academic consultant clinical psychologist, having completed both a PhD in Health Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. He is an expert in the field of psychological trauma and has extensive experience of caring for, and conducting research with, traumatised populations for over 20 years. For example, this includes working across research areas such as developing new treatments for moral injury-related mental ill-health, Complex PTSD, military sexual trauma, and exploring the relationship between mental health and physical health. Dominic holds several different roles; these include leading the Combat Stress Centre for Applied Military Health Research, being the President of the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, past-president of the UK Psychological Trauma Society, a Director and trustee for the Forces in Mind Trust, member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans, and the co-Director of the King’s Centre for Military Health Research at King’s College London. Dominic has focused on translational research to improve the outcomes for those affected by trauma and is widely published with over 250 scientific papers and reports.

José Blazquez
Product Development and Marketing Manager, DSC
Read MoreJosé joined DSC in 2016 and now leads the organisation’s marketing strategy and product development. Over the years, he has developed and implemented marketing campaigns for dozens of charity publications, supported the launch of new products such as The Governance App, and overseen major digital transformation projects including the redevelopment of FundsOnline, DSC’s largest online platform.
Alongside marketing and product innovation, José is leading DSC’s Artificial Intelligence programme. Having completed a Master’s in AI at Isabel I University, he focuses on how automation, agents, and advanced prompting techniques can be applied responsibly to help charities save time and improve impact. His work brings together creativity, data, and technology to ensure that DSC continues to meet the evolving needs of the voluntary sector.
He particularly enjoys turning complex ideas into practical tools for charities, whether through digital platforms, training opportunities, or sector-focused projects such as podcasts and knowledge resources. For José, the value of innovation lies in making charity work more accessible, effective, and sustainable for the people it serves.
