The National Academy for Social Prescribing and Arts Council England – Thriving Communities Fund
The National Academy for Social Prescribing and Arts Council England’s grant programme will close for applications on Friday 8 January. The Thriving Communities Fund will award grants of between £25,000 and £50,000 for projects in the fields of sport, nature, financial wellbeing and other community-related causes. All applications must demonstrate a commitment to work with partner organisations. Find out more.

Central England Co-operative – Community Dividend Fund
The fund will provide grants of between £100 and £5,000 for local good causes, community groups and charities responding to ‘some of the most worrying impacts of Covid-19’, particularly isolation, food poverty and mental health and wellbeing. Applicants must be full members of the Central East England Co-operative, and must have beneficiaries in areas in which the Co-operative trades. Applications close on Thursday 31 December. St Monica Trust’s Winter Support Fund
The St Monica Trust’s Winter Support Fund will close for applications on Friday 11 December. Grants of up to £1,000 are available for charities and other non-profits working with older people. Funding can be used towards the purchase of equipment needed to safely deliver activities and services, projects that seek to ‘empower older people’, or towards any specific local need identified by the applicant. The Volant Trust Funding
The Volant Trust’s current round of funding will close for applications on 31 December. The Covid-19 Response Fund looks to support charities operating in the UK and internationally, that ‘demonstrate a strong focus on alleviating social deprivation and helping vulnerable people’, particularly those who have been impacted by the coronavirus crisis. The trust will also consider applications for medical equipment and the production or distribution of PPE. Prospective applicants are advised to complete an Eligibility Checklist before making an application, which can be found here.

Community Business Crowdmatch
Crowdfunder and Power to Change are working together to help community businesses develop and adapt services in response to the Covid-19 crisis. Through this fund Power to Change will match every £1 raised through Crowdfunder up to a maximum of £10,000. Power to Change is particularly keen to support new and existing projects in more deprived areas of the country and to work with black, Asian and ethnically diverse individuals and community business leaders across England.
