Museum Galleries Scotland’s ‘Museum Development Fund’

Museums in Scotland can apply for grants of £15,000 to £50,000 through Museum Galleries Scotland’s ‘Museum Development Fund’. The programme is designed to support accredited museums to make strategic steps towards becoming more resilient. Priority will be given to projects that focus on: developing digital capacity; re-engaging with communities; workforce capacity and resilience; building resilience; responding to the climate emergency. Art Funds’ Reimagine Grants Programme

Applications are open to the Art Funds’ Reimagine Grants Programme, designed to support organisations as they reimagine their activities following the Covid-19 pandemic and to help organisations build expertise, capacity and connections within and outside the sector. The programme offers the following grants:

• small grants (£5,000 to £15,000)
• large grants (£15,000 to £50,000)
• project grants (£5,000 to £50,000).

The funding is available to formally constituted, not-for-profit organisations such as charities, CICs and CIOs. Organisations may include, but are not restricted to, museums, galleries, historic houses, archives and libraries, agencies, and festivals. The deadline for round one is Monday 5 July. Museum Galleries Scotland

Museum Galleries Scotland is inviting applications to its Summer Programme Fund. The fund is designed to help restore the well-being of children and young people during the summer by enabling museums to provide fun and safe activities as part of the national Summer of Play 2021. Grants of between £5,000 and £50,000 are available for a range of purposes, including the purchase/repair of play equipment, resources to ensure compliance with Covid guidelines, fees for performers/artists/workshops, staff time and more. Applications are welcomed from any organisation running an accredited museum in Scotland and non-accredited museums that have already been verified as eligible for MGS’s Covid related funds. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until 5pm on the Monday 21 June. Find out more and apply here.

Asda Foundation ‘Bringing Communities Back Together’ scheme

The Asda Foundation has launched phase one of its ‘Bringing Communities Back Together’ scheme. Funding is available for a celebration event (such as a welcome back party), getting activities and services back on track or a combination of both. Charities, not-for-profit companies, CIC’s and unincorporated clubs and associations may apply for one grant of up to £1,000. Application forms can be obtained from local Asda stores and should be returned in-store to a Community Champion by Monday 16 August 2021. For more information, visit the website.

Box Power CIC

Business energy consultants Box Power CIC will be donating £1 million to North West charities over the next 12 months. Grants of up to £20,000 are available to charities of ‘all sectors and all sizes’. Visit the Box Power CIC’s website for further information.
