Fantastic funder feedback

In the last few years we’ve worked much more closely with a number of funders, with them acting as the lead organisation for support we’ve then delivered to the organisations that they fund.

There’s no single way we’ve done this as every situation is different, but we’ve done everything from running practical training and events to groups of grantees, providing multi-user access to our online funding database Funds Online, and distributing bulk copies of our print and digital publications.

We’ve worked with Zurich Community Trust for a number of years now, enabling the organisations they support to access a range of our training and events:

“The Zurich Community Trust have been working with the DSC since 2020 to deliver bespoke online training courses to our 55 charity partners across the UK. In addition we have an arrangement where our partners can register for the DSC online conferences via their website, using a special code, which allows them to register free of charge. The DSC then invoice the Zurich Community Trust directly and this has been very popular.

Our experience of working with the DSC team has been nothing but positive, flexible and efficient, whilst helping us to deliver our goals to support our charity partners.”

Sarah Covington, National Partnership and Development Manager, Zurich Community Trust

And more recently we’ve worked with e number of funders including Lloyds Bank Foundation and Seafarers Charity to distribute bulk orders of our best-selling funding guide Directory of Grant making Trusts to their grantees.

“This is a great initiative! We’ve already taken advantage of this at Seafarers Charity and one of our grantees who received a book said ‘Thank you so much for this very kind offer. ….  I moved quickly when I saw the words ‘free copy’ and have now secured one. I’ve had an earlier version of this … so I know that it’s a high quality reference. We will make good use of your kindness!

Thanks again, Louise, Deborah and Tina. Very much appreciated.”

Deborah Layde, CEO, Seafarers Charity
