Grants projected to be worth just £100m by 2020

The decline of government grant-making from 2003 onwards has been sharp. The government is no longer the biggest providor of grant funding to charities. At current trends, the total value of government grants is expected to fall from £2.2 billion in 2012/13 to just £100m by 2020

This would represent a drop to just 0.24% of the total income of the voluntary sector.
