The Charity Accountants' Online Conference: 14-18 September

The annual charity accountants' conference for finance professionals is online this year! 3 sessions a day over 5 days on the week of 14 September. Find out more below.


Whether you’re relatively new to the world of charity accounting or a seasoned finance leader in search of leadership inspiration, the conference programme will give you the opportunity to mix and match sessions at various seniority levels from four different content streams to suit your individual needs.

We’ve scheduled the online sessions to easily fit around your days. We know you’ve got plenty of other tasks and deadlines, so each day there is a morning, lunch and afternoon session. If you miss some sessions, don’t worry, they will be recorded and available later for you to view at your convenience.

If it’s your first Zoom conference, worry not – it is so easy to use. You’ll be sent the appropriate session links and all you’ll need to do is click that link and Zoom will open.

Nigel will set out the regulator’s latest guidance for charities, give an update on the new SORP engagement process and set out the regulator’s perspective on charity sector risks


Event ends with a final session conference wrap up as Jonathan Orchard (Sayer Vincent) summarises the key messages from the week.

*Sessions will be 50 minutes in length, usually 30 minute presentations and 20 minute Q&A’s

Where does the charity sector go from here? COVID-19 and changed the landscape in many different aspects of charity operations. This series of seminars are led by experts in their fields setting out their views and expectations of where next.

Made simple

The conference has always attracted finance staff who are new to the charity sector. Our series of Made Simple seminars give you the basics of what you need to know. Bonus ‘Made simple’ sessions will be available on demand during the week.

Management and leadership

Keeping you updated on the latest management and leadership need to know topics and best practice techniques. Providing you with practical advice you can implement to better support yourself and your team straight away.
