Vivien Ma FCA, Director, Crowe U.K LLP

Vivien joined Crowe in 2023, bringing 20 years of experience in auditing charities and non-profits, including roles at BDO, Grant Thornton, and Sayer Vincent. She has a particular interest in arts and cultural organisations and educational institutions.

Vivien is an experienced trainer on charity accounting and governance issues, having delivered training courses at the Association of Charitable Foundations, the Directory of Social Change, The King’s Fund, and Women on Boards. She is a trustee of Solace Women’s Aid and has served on its Finance and Resources Committee since 2019.

 

Simon Hughes, Director, Crowe U.K. LLP

Simon is a Director in our social purpose and non-profit unit, with experience as a charity auditor, advisor, employee and volunteer. He joined the firm in 2018 from WaterAid, where he worked in two international finance roles. During his time with WaterAid, his work included training and induction of new finance staff globally, as well as second-line assurance activities and working with the external auditors. He also acted as interim Head of Finance in their Zambia country programme. He works on a mix of audit and advisory assignments, and across his career has worked with charities ranging from those just above the threshold for needing an Independent Examination to the top 10 UK charities by income. Simon holds the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting, as well as having completed the MANGO (Now Humentum) training.
