Their other clients include Co-op, Manchester City Council, Plan UK and UnLtd.

In 2023 and 2022 she was named as one of the Top 100 Women in Social Enterprise by Pioneers Post and Natwest. In 2022 the accolades continued when MIC media won Silver at the Audio Production Awards and was nominated in the Manchester Culture Awards.

She’s a judge for the British Podcast Awards, The International Women’s Podcast Awards and the Manchester Publicity Association (MPA) Awards.

Vic, who was nominated for a British Podcast Award in 2020, founded MIC’s Podcast Club, a community for podcasters that has over 1,200 global members. She’s also the co-founder and Director of Pods Up North, a conference for podcasters.

Jay Kennedy is DSC’s Director of Policy and Research and has overall responsibility for DSC’s policy, campaigns and research. He leads the team that researches funding information for DSC’s well-known funding guides and websites.

Jay has held a number of different roles since joining DSC in 2003, including researching government funding for charities, project managing one of DSC’s fundraising websites, and acting as a policy officer and media spokesperson. Jay often represents DSC at various forums, networks and events.

George joined DSC at the beginning of 2017 and, having previously led the sales and customer service teams, moved into training at the start of 2020.

He trains in Management & Leadership, Fundraising, Personal Development, Project Management and Wellbeing. He has extensive experience in helping organisations make positive changes to how they approach social change.

He is also qualified as a Mental Health First Aider, with additional time spent studying Psychosis. The favourite part of his role is knowing that the work DSC performs has a major impact on both the charities and individuals that we are able to serve.

The Black Equity Organisation (BEO), a national civil rights organisation launched in 2022 to tackle systemic racism in the UK, Dr Wanda Wyporska is its new Chief Executive Officer.

Dr Wyporska joins BEO from the Society of Genealogists, where she is the outgoing Chief Executive. She is also the former Executive Director of The Equality Trust where she led the work of the organisation in its mission to improve the quality of life in the UK by reducing social and economic inequalities.

Dr Wyporska has a wealth of experience leading charitable and social justice organisations. Her expertise lies in shaping and leading strategic campaigns, managing teams and spearheading programmes to raise awareness of economic and social inequalities and diversity issues.
