A message from DSC CEO Debra Allcock Tyler:

The pressures right now are relentless. And as CEOs we have to carry the weight. The sleepless nights; the constant negotiating; the having to be positive and hopeful in front of staff and volunteers when we’re feeling wobbly ourselves. The having to manage and try to reassure worried trustees when we’re worried ourselves.

It’s lonely. So I’ve decided to just convene a space for us to come together as CEOs to share, not just our worries, but the very practical ideas about what we can do to survive. No formal agenda. We meet via Zoom for an hour. We have a chat. There may be tears. But we come out at the end at least feeling less alone, and hopefully with some shared ideas on how we can survive, not just as charities but as human beings.
