About
The capacity to better identify, quantify and communicate the social and environmental impact of an organisation is becoming increasingly important to manage limited resources and guide strategic decision making, as well as engaging effectively with external stakeholders such as funders, customers, volunteers and the media.

This workshop is suitable for anyone who works in the charity, social enterprise or voluntary sector that needs to demonstrate the value and outcome of their work. It is particularly valuable for chief executives, trustees, project managers and operational members of staff.
Impact investors and entrepreneurs who are interested in the wider effects of their business on the economy, society and the environment will also find this workshop useful.
Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand and communicate the difference between social impact and social value
- Identify and articulate a practical impact strategy. They will be able to create a draft a Theory of Change for their organisation
- Develop and implement an impact (monitoring and evaluation) plan
What will it cover?
- A brief introduction to the vocabulary and theory of social impact
- The difference between impact measurement, impact management, and monitoring and reporting
- Participants will have an opportunity to present their own project for critique
- All presenting participants will receive a practical impact action plan
