Understanding and Embracing Neurodiversity in the Workplace - Online course
Creating small changes that make a big impact.
One-day online course
Duration: 1 day course with break and lunch time (10.00-16.00)
About
This course helps workplaces to embrace neurodiversity and create environments where everyone can thrive. Often, workplaces are built around neurotypical ways of working, which can leave neurodivergent people struggling or their strengths overlooked.
We will explore common neurodivergent conditions including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and Tourette’s, focusing on what these experiences are really like. The course dispels myths, highlights hidden strengths, and explores the ongoing challenges many face at work. Understanding these key strengths and struggles is essential for creating a supportive and high-performing workplace.
We also clarify what “reasonable adjustments” mean – showing how small, practical changes can have a big impact without being costly or complex.
Delivered by a neurodivergent trainer, this course is highly interactive and includes videos, group discussions, and real-life experiences to make learning engaging and practical. Participants will gain tangible ideas to support neurodivergent colleagues, improve teamwork, and build an inclusive culture that values difference and drives success.
Who should attend?
This course is for everyone—senior leaders, managers, HR, colleagues, and anyone seeking a more inclusive workplace.
It helps managers improve recruitment, inductions, workplace practices, and one-to-one support, while giving colleagues practical ways to understand and collaborate better.
Additionally, the course provides useful knowledge that can be applied beyond work, supporting family and friends with a deeper understanding of neurodiversity.
