Funds Online: even more value for fundraisers

At DSC we’ve been providing information about funders, funding and fundraising for over 50 years. It’s not just in our organisational DNA, it’s in our name.  

When we started out in the mid-1970s, information about charitable grant-makers or companies that did community support didn’t really exist – that’s why we’re called a ‘Directory’ – the original idea was a directory of funders and other resources to support charities. 

Over time, the way we research and deliver this information has changed as technology has changed. From printed publications, we evolved to CD-ROMs and early web databases, to our latest offering Funds Online. Artificial intelligence is now reshaping the landscape yet again, but we value the importance of human expertise and experience. 

DSC is a charity and we’re extremely conscious of the pressures out there in the charity sector right now. We also face many of the same pressures that you do.
